Charrette Projects

Although the Town Charrette took place some time ago, it identified a number of projects for CCDT to follow up, some of which can hopefully be implemented and brought to fruition in the short to medium term. Others, because of their scale and complexity, were necessarily more aspirational and longer term. Covid has inevitably slowed progress in delivering projects but hopefully a corner has been turned and things are improving.

As time passes new suggestions and ideas will be raised and wherever possible CCDT will try to canvas local opinion and suggestions on what should be prioritised.

More Projects

There are other projects which the Charrette talks identified, and we will get to them as circumstances and opportunities dictate. There will also be other ideas and concepts which crop up in peoples’ minds going forward, and we will always welcome suggestions and thoughts from CCDT members and the Carnoustie community. Use our website to contact us with comments and ideas.

One project which has been suggested from time to time and which could dovetail with the idea of developing a list of local walks with interpretation boards along the way, is that there is scope for planting up lots of wild meadow areas around Carnoustie. Watch this space!
